Dr. Chavda completed his postdoctoral training in Pediatric Newborn Medicine from Children’s Hospital Boston at Harvard Medical School. Prior to moving to Midlothian-Arlington area, Dr Chavda practiced in Boston, with hospital affliations at the world renowned Children’s Hospital Boston, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
He gained extensive clinical expertise in treating various conditions in Pediatric Newborn Medicine, developmental Pediatrics and well child and preterm child follow up clinic.
At Harvard Medical School he was part of important research about understanding developmental differences in blood forming stem cell between preterm and term newborns. In addition, he has authored many medical journal articles and written book chapters, as well as participating in research in pediatric newborn medicine.
Dr Chavda is board-certified both in Pediatrics and in Newborn Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr Chavda’s interests include in Child Development, Preventive care, Parent education and Immunizations.
For Dr. Chavda, the greatest joy is growing up with the kids and their families. He hopes to influence them to make positive decisions in improving their growth, development and well-being. Bringing personal care and attention to your family is the way Dr. Chavda thrives. He considers parental concerns in his care plans, and being a father of two kids, he asks himself what he would do if their children were his own.
Both inside and away from the clinic, Dr. Chavda enjoys venturing into social media (SM) for the practice. He finds the next generation of new families very in tune with electronic media of various forms. By adapting his practice style to introduce SM and e-mail education tools, he feels his patients have an interesting and unique opportunity to be guided by both classic and current medical topics. It also gives Dr. Chavda an opportunity to stay in touch with his patients 24/7.
Outside the practice, Dr. Chavda enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also likes to be outdoors, and loves spending time in the garden, cooking, running, bicycling, and traveling.
